Join a leading team in precision medicine at the University Hospital Zurich, where you work with advanced technologies in tumor genomics and multi-omics data integration. You help analyze data from modern omics-methods like whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, methylation arrays, digital pathology, and panel sequencing to support diagnostics and research projects.
Deine Aufgaben
- Independently analyze, check quality, and interpret NGS and multi-omics data for diagnostics
- Develop, test, and use bioinformatics pipelines for routine molecular diagnostics
- Perform immunogenomics analyses and provide clinically relevant interpretations
- Apply machine learning and AI methods to omics data, focusing on robustness and easy understanding
- Translate new methods into routine diagnostics, including documentation and validation
- Prepare clinical reports together with pathologists and molecular biologists
- Help train medical and laboratory staff in data interpretation and bioinformatics workflows
Was du mitbringst
- MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Medical Informatics, or a similar field
- Strong experience in NGS/omics data analysis in an applied setting
- Good skills in Python and/or R (Bioconductor)
- Strong understanding of molecular biology and genetics, able to interpret data in biological and clinical contexts
- Solid knowledge of statistics and machine learning
- Experience with workflow management systems (Nextflow, Snakemake) and containerization (Docker/Singularity)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills
- English required; German is a plus
- Preferred: experience in cancer genomics, immunogenomics, transcriptomics or epigenetics, metagenomics, AI-based image analysis, data management/structured reporting, integrative multi-omics, or work in a clinical/medical environment
