Join a leading research team to support and coordinate teaching in the international master program Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems. You will help develop teaching materials, coordinate courses, and teach spatial planning theory and practice. This role offers you the chance to connect Swiss spatial planning with international contexts and work at the intersection of spatial planning, urban planning, and urban design.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Assist and coordinate teaching activities in the master program Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems
  • Develop teaching materials for courses
  • Coordinate and teach spatial planning theory and practice
  • Engage with spatial planning in Switzerland and connect it to other contexts
  • Work at the interface between spatial planning, urban planning, and urban design

Was du mitbringst

  • Master’s degree (or near completion) in spatial planning, urban design, urban planning, or urban studies
  • Strong interest in developing and applying teaching skills in higher education
  • First experience in academic teaching and supervising theses is an asset
  • Willingness to further advance teaching skills in ETH courses
  • Good knowledge and interest in the Swiss spatial planning system
  • Knowledge of comparative spatial planning is an asset
  • At least one year of practical experience in Swiss spatial planning or urban design
  • Very good command of written and spoken English and German
  • Skills and interest in visualization and graphical representation
  • Familiarity with ETH Zürich system at D-BAUG or D-ARCH is an asset
